On the 22-23 of October 2024m the RAWMINA project, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, held its final conference in Barcelona (Spain). This was a dynamic event that brought together researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and innovators to explore cutting-edge advancements in the recovery of Critical Raw Materials (CRM) from mine waste within a circular economy framework.
In this context, Francisco J. Luque from the Iberian Mining Cluster (RESILEX coordinator) was invited as speaker and roundtable panelist during the Clustering session: Innovations on secondary raw materials, giving an overview on the RESILEX objectives and achievements so far. Manuel Sevilla from Tharsis Mining (another partner in RESILEX) was explaining the metal recovery from mining wastes developed within the project.
This 2 days clustering and scientific event was full of technical discussions and conversations of potential future collaborations, including a matchmaking session. Authorities and funding agencies such as HADEA, CDTI and Junta de Andalucia were also present.
