Navigating Recycling Challenges and Critical Raw Material Dependencies
When: 23rd May, 2024 , 14:00 – 16:30
Where: Rue Ravenstein 4, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
Thanks to PV module’s average lifetime of about thirty years, the European PV industry has not yet been facing waste streams that would accelerate a proactive integration of circular economy principles. However, this situation is expected to shift significantly, with the anticipated substantial increase in PV waste volume. In response to this impending challenge, there is a pressing need to advance PV recycling technologies and the same time reduce dependencies on critical raw materials.
Join us on May 23rd, in Brussels, for an interactive workshop co-hosted by the two Horizon Europe Projects, ReSilex and EVERPV, to discuss advancing circular solutions in the PV industry. This collaborative workshop will bring together stakeholders from research, policy, and industry to explore innovative approaches to enhance recycling techniques within the PV sector and reduce raw material dependencies. Through project presentations, discussions on the Critical Raw Materials Act, and interactive breakout sessions this workshop will offer participants to exchange insights, identify challenges, and propose solutions aligned with EU policy objectives.
This workshop will take place in the framework of the annual conference of the European
Technology and Innovation Platform, taking place on 22 nd and 23 rd of May in Brussels. If you are
interested in joining the conference you can register for free here.
